Crostata di Marmellata
Crostata is one of those classic desserts that many Italians grow up with. It is a delicious, easy and fast dessert that allows Tuscan cooks to praise their homemade marmellate (jams).
Olive Harvest
Tuscan people are rightly very proud of their olive oil, as it is one of the most appreciated in the world. While other Mediterranean regions pick their olives in November, December or even January, the Tuscan harvest begins in October, when the fruit is less ripe and produces less oil making our olive oil rarer than the others.
Tiramisu
I followed the original recipe:300 gr of savoiardi(ladyfingers) dipped in espresso coffee flavored with a bit of Marsala wine and layered with a whipped mixture of 6 eggs yolks, 500gr of mascarpone cheese and 150gr of sugar.I sprinkled each cup with dark cocoa powder.
Daniela’s Bridge.
When I design travels I like to think of myself like a “ponte” ,a person who creates opportunity for people to come together despite the different backgrounds, cultures, environments.
