Tiramisu
Today, to cheer myself up, I made my first tiramisú cake .
I followed the original recipe:300 gr of savoiardi(ladyfingers) dipped in espresso coffee flavored with a bit of Marsala wine and layered with a whipped mixture of 6 eggs yolks, 500gr of mascarpone cheese and 150gr of sugar.I sprinkled each cup with dark cocoa powder.
As soon as I posted a photo on Facebook comments from my friends started to pour in.
Now I have at least 5 different versions of this Italian dessert, all tested by people that I trust.
Next time I will use cantuccini (biscotti) and Vinsanto wine so to give tiramisú the Tuscan beneplacito.
